We are so happy (though of course tinged with sadness that these will have to be used) to donate these letter bead/bracelet supplies to Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia, MN to hopefully give a little light to families amidst the darkness of their baby's death.
#maisiebracelets on social media - if you have received on & would be willing to share, we would love to see.
In memory of
Maisie Martha Ofsthun
December 14, 2020
For the babies born still, but still born at Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia, MN.
Please make a bracelet for the precious babies who won’t get to go home with their families. Those sweethearts who are stillborn or who pass away shortly after birth, are gifted a letter name bracelet by Ryan, Chelsie, Isla, Lachlan & Maisie.
The hope is that this will provide a special memory and/or some special photos for these families, so they can see their child wearing his/her name.
We were completely caught off guard by Maisie’s death (as I’m sure many families in these circumstances are), and thus had nothing prepared for her. She was also a surprise gender… so we didn’t even know what birth would beget. In the time of this unexpected loss, most families may not have any named memorabilia for the baby (such was our case with Maisie).
We would be honored if families chose to allow baby to wear this to be buried in. If cremation is chosen, I’m sure the funeral home will give it back to the parents. But of course, the parents can obviously chose whether they want baby to keep this on baby when the time comes to part, or they can chose to take it home for themselves.

- Select 1 heart bead and the letters to spell baby’s name.
- String the heart bead on first, and the name following. See the Maisie examples!
- Fit to baby’s wrist, give the pipe cleaner several twists to hold it together. Leave a little room (for ease taking on and off) and cut off the excess with provided scissors. Fold sharper ends into remaining pipe cleaner for soft closure.
