Shortly after we lost Maisie, I found a bible and dedicated as my "Maisie Bible." In here I have been highlighting encouraging scripture verses that have brought me comfort and hope during my mourning. So I wanted to share this compilation with you as well, in hopes that it might bring you some of that comfort of God's living word. ~Chelsie

Why was I not stillborn;why didn’t I die as I came from the womb? Why did the knees receive me, and why were there breasts for me to nurse? Now I would certainly be lying down in peace; I would be asleep. Then I would be at rest with the kings and counselors of the earth, who rebuilt ruined cities for themselves, or with princes who had gold, who filled their houses with silver. Or why was I not hidden like a miscarried child, like infants who never see daylight? There the wicked cease to make trouble, and there the weary find rest. Job 3: 11-17
Job on his suffering said he would have been better off not being born alive... because then he wouldn't have the suffer. He knew babies to be in heaven.
Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you healed me. You turned my lament into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, so that I can sing to you and not be silent. Psalm 30:2, 11
You yourself have recorded my wanderings. Put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book? Psalm 56: 8
God knows our tears we have cried, he has recorded them, our suffering is not unnoticed.
For it was you who created my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I will praise you because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made. Your works are wondrous, and I know this very well. Psalm 139:13-15
Many plans are in a person's heart, but the Lord's decree will prevail. Proverbs 19:21
He will destroy the burial shroud, ... He will destroy death forever. The Lord God will wipe away the tears from every face. Isiah 25:7, 8

God considered sacrifice of children an abomination and called/held the children to be innocent!
For the Lord will not reject us forever. Even if he causes suffering, he will show compassion according to the abundance of his faithful love. For he does not enjoying bringing affliction or suffering on mankind. Lamentations 3:31-33
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." Matthew 5:4
"See to it that you don't despise one of these little ones, because I tell you that in heaven their angels continually view the face of my Father in heaven." Matthew 18:10

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us. Romans 8:16
In the same way the Spirit also helps us in our weakness, because we do now know what to pray for as we should, but he Spirit himself intercede for us with unspoken gleanings. Romans 8:26
This was really helpful for me because I was a bit distraught I hadn't prayed for baby's salvation before she was born. I considered it a given she would be born and brought to the font for baptism. So this comforted me that the Holy Spirit prayed this on my behalf, because I didn't know.
If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Romans 14:8
...God of all comfort. He comforts us in all our affliction, two that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just a s the sufferings of Christ overflow to us, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. If we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings that we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that as you share in the sufferings, so you will also share in the comfort. 2 Corinthians 1:3-7
In fact, we are confident, and we would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8
Don't worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
